INTRA-UTERINE BOLUS FOR METRITIS TREATMENT IN COWS
FORMULATION: Each tablet (10 g) contains:
Chlortetracycline HCl.................................. 1,000 mg
INDICATIONS:
Prophylactic and therapeutic treatment of uterine infection puerperal in cattle.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
- Prophylactic: 1 bolus per animal per day, during the first two days postpartum.
- Therapeutic: 1 – 2 boluses per animal per day, for 3 - 4 consecutive days. If the cervix is closed, dilute the bolus in 50 – 100 ml (depending on the amount of pus) of warm water (40 – 60°C).
For intrauterine administration after calving.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Do not use oral administration.
WITHDRAWAL TIME: Meat: 10 days; Milk: 4 days.
